Course Description
Computer Security Awareness (Business User) is an introductory course that provides essential information for business owners and employees to protect your most valuable corporate asset – your data.

It can take years of hard work to build a database of information, clients, protocols, and economic strategies that make your business successful and able to edge-out the competition. You have to protect it. The risk of sensitive and private information leaking from your business could lead to its demise. This course will get you up to date on the latest security measures and technology for your computer and mobile device, inform you of privacy legislation including FOIP and PIPA, and give you the skills to protect your precious data. Know how to safeguard your business, in the real world and the cyber one.

Upon successful completion of Computer Security Awareness (Business User), you will:
  • discuss the fundamental principles of privacy legislation.
  • employ the best practices for setting passwords.
  • protect sensitive and private information.
  • identify the best physical office and device security.
  • know the proper measures to take if you or your company has been hacked.
  • obtain a Recognition of Participation certificate.

This course has no prerequisites.
