Course Description
The PM: Leadership & Project Resource Management course group uses a group-defined case study to introduce various tools that illustrate application of the key Project Resource Management processes described in the PMBOK® Guide – Sixth Edition. This course will also examine skills required for team leadership, including the core competencies of an effective leader. The course will allow you to discover your leadership style using Emotional Intelligence self-assessment and theoretical concepts, and how to effectively apply it in project management. The Project Resource Management processes covered include Plan Resource Management, Estimate Activity Resources, Acquire Project Team, Develop Project Team, Manage Project Team, and Control Resources.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of Leadership and Project Resource Management, you will be able to:
  • identify and apply the six Project Resource Management processes.
  • discover the core competencies of effective leaders and how they apply in a project management role.
  • diagnose key project team building concepts and interpersonal skills required to effectively manage a project team.
  • recognize and examine your Emotional Intelligence and apply it to developing your personal leadership style.
  • create the main output documents for the key Project Resource concepts.

No prerequisites required.
