Course Description
This is an online course.

From the beginner to the expert, AutoCAD may seem complex and confusing at times. In this course, come learn the basic functions and how to maneuver around the program. This course provides instruction and hands-on practice teaching you the fundamentals of AutoCAD.

During this 35 hour course, we will cover topics such as basic drawing techniques, editing, preparing a layout to be plotted, hatching and dimensions and many other fundamental skills.

Upon successful completion of Basic AutoCAD, you will:
  • feel comfortable using the basic commands of AutoCAD.
  • be able to create mechanical and architectural drawings using AutoCAD software.
  • be able to open, begin a drawing, save your work and safely exit the program.
  • obtain a Recognition of Achievement certificate.

No prerequisites required.

There is an extra textbook for this course called “Tutorial Guide to AutoCAD 2015” and is available for purchase at the Lethbridge College Bookstore.

Other course materials are included.

AutoCAD LT users are welcome.
