Course Description
Meetings are a regular and important part of business activities. If you are the minute-taker, the meeting won’t start without you. You will play a valuable role in ensuring peoples thoughts and ideas are recorded. Many times, minutes are reviewed by executives unable to attend a meeting, so it is vital that they are useful and concise. In this course you will learn how to effectively prepare for a meeting, create succinct and objective summaries, and transform notes into an accurate and professional account of the meeting. You will also have the opportunity to analyze poor quality minutes and then record, transcribe, and transform minutes of your own.

The Art of Minute Taking is a two night course where you will learn the skills and techniques crucial to play the important role of minute-taker. This position is essential in creating successful and productive meetings.

Upon successful completion of The Art of Minute Taking, you will:
  • feel confident in preparing and executing meetings as a minute-taker.
