In this course designed for anyone, men or women, who want to learn how to weld. You will learn how to safely use various materials, tools, and techniques for basic welding.
Come to this hands-on-project based class with an idea of something you want to build and bring it to life using basic MIG welding skills and Oxy-acetylene cutting.

Outcomes
Upon successful completion of Basic Welding for Women, you will:
- have gained knowledge and skills in basic welding.
- be able to weld common joint types on mild steel.
- feel empowered, confident and safe using the tools of the trade.
- obtain a Recognition of Participation certificate.
Prerequisites
This course has no prerequisites.
Notes
Participants will need to bring their own pair of safety glasses, steel-toed boots, cotton or natural fiber coveralls, and welding gloves. A welding helmet is optional, but recommended.
Basic course materials are included. Personal Project materials are extra.
