NOTICE: Emergency Medical Responder will be discontinued as of July 2017. Lethbridge College in partnership with NAIT will be providing the Medical First Responder (MFR) course effective September 2017.
The Medical First Responder will provide students with the essential skills to provide first-on-scene basic emergency care prior to Emergency Medical Services arriving. This program may be right for you if you are interested in a career related to fire rescue, police, safety and security enforcement services and any other professions or volunteer organizations that require MFR expertise.
Students who successfully complete the course will obtain the following certifications: International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) Basic Provider, Heart & Stroke Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider CPR, and Medical First Responder (MFR).
This program is provided in partnership with NAIT and is approved at an Advanced First Aid level by Alberta Occupational Health and Safety.

||Participants must be 18 years or older (at course start date)
||Standard First Aid - CPR Level C (Heart and Stroke certification recommended)
- Standard First Aid - CPR Level C needs to be taken or renewed within the last year. Students must provide proof of prerequisites prior to regisitaion.
- Textbooks: Students must purchase texbooks prior to first class - cost is not incuded in the tuition fee.
