ClassGraphic Course Description
Sparks will fly in the best way possible as you learn how to safely cut and weld together metal on top-end equipment. Not only will you learn the fundamentals of safely working with molten metal, you’ll be making a rocket stove you can take home to use in your backyard or on your next camping trip. Your fire will burn with the pride from the skills you learned at camp.

This course has no prerequisites.

This camp is for youth between the age of 12-16 years old.


  • Campers need to wear closed toe footwear (hiking or work boots are ideal), cotton or natural fiber pants (jeans) and a long sleeve shirt. Safety glasses, gloves and helmets will be provided.
  • When registering, please register as the participant that will attend the camp.

Please read:  Campers need to wear clothing/shoes suitable for welding, i.e., long pants and long sleeve shirts, hiking shoes or boots *no running shoes and no sandals. Coveralls are recommended, but not mandatory.
