Course Description Come learn the theory and techniques needed to diagnose and repair small engines in this informational 24-hour course. Small engine mechanics service and repair a wide range of power equipment including motorcycles, chainsaws, jet skis, lawnmowers, motorboats, dirt bikes, garden tractors, mopeds, edge trimmers, snowmobiles, and leaf blowers. This course will provide you with a better understanding on how to diagnose electrical, fuel, and mechanical problems quickly in order to make the needed repairs. Outcomes Upon successful completion of Small Engine Repair, you will: know the theory and techniques needed to repair small engines. be able to diagnose electrical, fuel, and mechanical problems on small engines. obtain a Recognition of Participation certificate. Prerequisites No prerequisites required. Notes This course is held at the Agriculturre and Trades Training Facility (former Animal Husbandry Building) 211034 -  Hwy 512 on the jail road Course materials are included.

Course Description Have you been wanting to give your home a well-deserved renovation? Come learn the skills needed to do basic home renovations in order to rejuvenate your house.   In this 24 hour course, you will learn to safely use the various materials, tools and techniques for basic home renovations. This hands-on course covers preparation, measuring, insulating techniques, interior framing, installing doors and windows, interior finishing, fastening methods, drywall, tiling, and flooring.  Safe use of common hand and power tools will also be covered.   Outcomes Upon successful completion of Basic Home Renovation Skills, you will: know how to install and finish drywall. understand interior framing techniques. have the skills to replace doors and windows. know how to install casing and baseboards. be confident laying floor tiles. safely use and maintain power tools. obtain a Recognition of Participation certificate.   Prerequisites This course has no prerequisites.   Notes Course materials are included.
