The Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certification Program, offered in partnership with the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA), is the foundation of your career in payroll. It provides you with the compliance knowledge required to process your organization’s annual payroll cycle, effectively communicate payroll information to all stakeholders, and understand the accounting function as it relates to payroll.
Payroll Fundamentals I
is the second course required for the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certification. Throughout this course you will learn basic payroll skills including determining various types of pay.
Upon successful completion of Payroll Fundamentals I, you will:
- be able to calculate regular individual pay
- be able to calculate non-regular individual pay
- be able to calculate termination payments
- be able to complete a Record of Employment
- be able to communicate of all aspects of individual pay requirements to various stakeholders.
Payroll Compliance Legislation
In order to achieve certification, all course must be completed with 65% or higher.
Students must be a current member of the Canadian Payroll Association and may be required to pay the associated fees.
