Course Description
Have you been wanting to give your home a well-deserved renovation? Come learn the skills needed to do basic home renovations in order to rejuvenate your house.
In this 6-week, 24 hour course, you will learn to safely use the various materials, tools and techniques for basic home renovations. This hands-on course covers preparation, measuring, insulating techniques, interior framing, installing doors and windows, interior finishing, fastening methods, drywall, tiling, and flooring. Safe use of common hand and power tools will also be covered.
Outcomes
Upon successful completion of Basic Home Renovation Skills, you will:
know how to install and finish drywall.
understand interior framing techniques.
have the skills to replace doors and windows.
know how to install casing and baseboards.
be confident laying floor tiles.
safely use power tools.
Prerequisites
This course has no prerequisites.
