Authorized Assistant Certification - Pesticide Application - Spring 2024

ClassGraphic Course Description:
Authorized Assistants are able to perform pesticide applications under the supervision of a certified applicator. In addition, Authorized Assistants are able to apply pesticides listed in section 5(11) of the Environmental Code of Practice for Pesticides without direct supervision by a certified applicator.  Participation in this eight hour classroom course and completion of the exam are required to receive Authorized Assistant Certification.
 
Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of Pesticide Authorized Assistant Certification, you will:
  • be able to apply pesticides under supervision.
  • know about the safety and legislation involved in pesticide application.
  • obtain certification as a Pesticide Authorized Assistant.
 
Prerequisites:
No prerequisites required.

Notes:
 
This one day course focuses on legislation and safety training with a written 1 hour exam given the same day (cost of exam is included in registration fee).
