Course Description Whether you’ve been riding for years, or are new to the motorcycle world, improving safety and technique is always important. When you ride with confidence, knowing how to keep yourself and other driver’s safe, riding is more enjoyable for everyone. Motorcycle Training is a multi-day training program designed to create skillful, safety-conscious and responsible motorcyclists. This program is for motorcyclists of all backgrounds and experience levels. Outcomes Upon successful completion of Motorcycle Training, you will: recall local safety requirements and be able to implement them on your rides. employ helpful tips taught by our experienced instructors. ride with confidence as a skilled and responsible motorcyclist. obtain a certificate of completion.  Prerequisites You must be 16 years of age to take this course. Motorcyclists of all levels are welcome. Supply List DOT? (Department of Transportation) approved? motorcycle? helmet. “DOT” attached on the lower middle back of the helmet, also an approval sewn into the inside of?the?helmet. Clothing of substantial weight to protect your skin against scraping (road rash): Jacket:?Leather, heavy denim or heavy khaki Pants:?Leather, heavy denim or heavy khaki Gloves:?Leather Footwear: Footwear that covers your ankle to prevent burning caused by the exhaust pipe. Acceptable footwear includes?hiking boots or work boots, preferably with a low-heel. Do not wear?steel-toed boots. Notes Motorcycles are provided for this course. Participants are encouraged to park in parking lot 'H', located on the east side of the campus. This location is closer to the classroom and the motorcycles. Course Description Lethbridge College's Youth Culinary Boot Camp provides campers the opportunity to discover basic cooking techniques in a professional kitchen. This camp has been created with young food enthusiasts in mind, allowing students to learn hands on in the kitchen. Lethbridge College’s Culinary Youth Boot Camp allows students to explore all aspects of meal creations; appetizers, soups, salads, main courses, and desserts. On the last day, campers execute a three-course lunch in our Garden Court dining room as a team for two of their invited guests.   Prerequisites This course has no prerequisites.   Ages This camp is for youth between the age of 10-16. Notes Cost includes chef's jacket, hat, all food products and food samples.   Lunch is provided for campers. *When registering, please register as the participant that will attend the camp.

Course Description To reduce the risk of firearm-related accidents and enhance the safety of Canadian homes and communities, it is important that all applicants of a Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) or a Minor's License have an adequate knowledge of firearm laws and handling practices. Firearms Safety Non Restricted is a one-day course required for anyone applying for or renewing a Possession Acquisition License (PAL). In this course, you will learn safe handling as well as proper storage and transportation of firearms. It is instructed by provincially certified firearms trainers. Once the course is completed, you will then have to pass the corresponding test. The content of this course is controlled and approved by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Canadian Firearms Program (CFP).  Outcomes Upon successful completion of Firearms Safety Non Restricted, you will: identify and embrace the social responsibilities of firearm ownership. be able to handle non-restricted firearms and ammunition safely. be provided with necessary documents to apply for your Possession & Acquisition License (PAL), with Non-Restricted certification. Course Description Every year hundreds of millions of dollars are paid out for discrimination and harassment charges. No wonder companies are working to be more proactive in preventing harassment. But how do you prevent harassment from occurring? What sorts of policies should be in place? What should managers do to protect their employees? And if a complaint is filed, what will we do? All of these questions (and more!) will be answered in this workshop. Outcomes Upon successful completion of Workplace Harassment, you will: Explain what is acceptable behavior in the workplace and what is not Apply the benefits of harassment training Define the various types of harassment, including sexual harassment Assist in creating a harassment policy State some ways to prevent harassment Demonstrate some ways to protect yourself from harassment Know what to do if you are harassed or accused of harassment Understand the complaint process, from the complaint to the reply, to mediation or investigation, to a solution Identify situations where mediation is appropriate, and understand how mediation works in those situations Describe appropriate solutions for a harassment incident Know what to do if a complaint is false Help your workplace return to normal after a harassment incident Prerequisites No prerequisites required.
